Creating a luxurious gym on a luscious island.
The Brief
Originally, this newly built all-villa luxury hotel planned to share the gym of a neighbouring sister property. However, after meeting with our Cycling Bears team, the General Manager envisioned something far more impressive—an exclusive, high-end fitness space designed to "wow" their discerning guests.
While the gym itself was quite spacious, the hotel wanted to maximise open areas for group classes and floor exercises. The goal was to create a space where guests could feel deeply connected to the natural surroundings, working out on equipment crafted from organic materials. This was a key priority, given the hotel’s wellness focus—after all, surrounding oneself with black plastic hardly aligns with a philosophy of holistic well-being.
The challenge? To design a gym that seamlessly blends nature, functionality, and style—without compromise.
The Proposal
1. Strength: We suggested the versatile PENT. Banka exercise bench in basic and advanced versions. The Stil-fit Functional trainer and the PENT. Colmia set of dumbbells, both serve as sleek yet effective weight training solutions.The PENT. Moxa medicine ball and PENT. Lova luxury kettlebells were placed on the built-in wooden shelf.
2. Cardio: The NOHRD Sprintbok manual treadmill and Stil-fit flow one rowing machine with the Stil-fit Ergometer pure bike offering a space-saving cardio solution ensuring a compact yet effective training option.
3. Mobility: For flexibility, the PENT. Mata yoga mat, PENT. Mesna fitness ball, PENT. Koha yoga blocks, PENT. Rola stretching roller, all placed on the inbuild wooden shelf. The PENT. Scala a wooden wall bar s a multifunctional piece that allows users to perform stretching.
4. Boxing: For high-intensity training and endurance building, the PENT. Raxa leather boxing bag and gloves serve as a dynamic addition.
5. Pilates: Finally, we recommended PENT's stunning new Reformer bed to complete this gym set up.
