How to stay motivated in your fitness regime?

In order to lead a healthy lifestyle and stay motivated in a fitness regime, it is important to find an activity that you enjoy.

For some people, this means hitting the gym regularly. Many of us start off the new year with good intentions, and a resolution to work out and live a healthier lifestyle, especially after the year end excesses. But by February, many of these New Year’s resolutions would have started to fade.   1. Set Goals and Reward Yourself for reaching your goals

He or she can become your accountability buddy, giving you that additional emotional support to help you to keep going.

3. Stretch Before Exercising

People lose motivation to workout when they get injured after an exercise. Stretching is an essential part of any workout routine. As simple as it may sound, you will be surprised to know that many people do not do their warm-ups correctly.

When you stretch properly before exercising, you are less likely to get injured and you recover faster. Stretching also helps you get a better workout because it increases blood flow to the muscles. The better you feel after a workout, the more likely you will be motivated to keep up with your workout routine.

4. Start a journal

You can use your journal to find motivation. Think about all the reasons why you want to lose weight or get fit and write them down. Do you want to look good in a bathing suit? Do you want to be healthier? Do you want to feel better? Write down your reasons and refer back to them when you're having a bad workout or day.

Make sure that you write down every workout and include details such as the time, date, exercises you performed, and the total number of sets and reps. This information will help you develop better workouts in the future and stay motivated. Lastly, you can use your journal to record successes.
